Tiny preview for a big painting.
Haven’t been drawing for fun nearly as much as I should, but inspiration for a few pieces is slowly cultivating. I might make a painting of this doodle when the scene comes up forever from now.
This is actually going a lot faster than I thought it would.

My sight was poor but I was sure
The sirens sang their songs for me
They dance above me as I sink
I see them through a crystal haze
And hear them bouncing round the room
The never ending coral maze

My hand is absolutely killing me already.
I should be working on 2R right now but I want to be vastly better in a month or two and drawing talking heads isn’t going to help me do that.
A quick thumbnail for a painting I’ll start soon. The composition will improve, more buildings will peek out of the water and the canvas dimensions will be slimmer in the final. I wanted to focus on colors, lighting and the overall feel instead. It’s almost nothing like what I imagined but every time I color things for this story I end up with such vibrant, saturated tones. I must be really sick of black and white. :P
40 minute speed paint. I need to do so much world building for this story that it’s overwhelming. I hate fantasy. :(
